We will be carrying out a period of public consultation in advance of our planning application’s submission in the early part of 2019. This period of consultation will allow all those affected by our proposals to make comment and influence our designs. As part of our new plans for Redhill, we hope to deliver c.300 homes over the two Network Rail owned sites to the north and south of Redhill Station. The northern site (Site A) is approximately 2.5 acres in size, whilst the southern site (Site B) is slightly larger at 3 acres. We hope that due to the site’s current use and immediate proximity to Redhill Station and town centre, our new proposals will aid the local and national requirement for new homes on brownfield land near to transport links.
A new retail offering
To ensure our proposals are as integrated and appealing as possible, we also hope to provide an element of retail within our proposals. We hope this will help to create proposals with an active frontage, which will not only improve the development’s outward appearance and perception, but will also help to provide commuters and passers-by with a convenient shopping outlet.
New car parking
We also hope to deliver c.200 car parking spaces to serve both the residential element of the scheme, the station and the surrounding area.
We also hope to provide significant improvements to the station in the form of a new station car park and enhancements to the station building. Dedicated cycle spaces and a new and improved area of public realm are also hoped for.
